The Excitement of IRL versus Zoom

Since Covid, many of my meetings, presentations, and sales skills training sessions are conducted via Zoom. While effective, they are never as enjoyable as doing them in-person, regardless of travel time and other logistical inconveniences.


In my opinion, there is nothing as good as being up close and personal, shaking hands or fist bumps, and having the opportunity to look at the participants, not sitting in a little square box and often not as visible as you would hope, but making "real" eye contact, and seeing facial expressions change in real-time.


I never thought I would look forward to spending time in a conference room, but indeed I do.
